Here we will discuss about detox and how you can detox you body with some detoxifying vegetables naturally.Read everything about detox here…

Detox is a health practice from the start, but it is also a slimming method since thanks to the detox we will eliminate all the waste, all the toxins from the body but also the fat in excess. So, we will lose weight, and we will also lose centimeters.

Detox” simply comes from the word detoxification , which means removing toxins from the body. We often hear about a “detox diet”, however wrongly, because it is rather a cure aimed at getting back in shape .

Of course, this cure can have the effect of making us lose weight, but this is not the primary goal!

Main principles of detox

The main principles of detox are quite simple, we will eliminate all elements of industrial origin from our modern diet: we will eliminate prepared meals, industrial cakes, sweets, we will also eliminate sodas, which we don’t always think.

But we will also eliminate industrial sugars, added sugars, so all sweet preparations, desserts, sweets also, we come back to them. We will also eliminate animal fats if we consume them in excess. We can consume a little bit but we will still try to reduce.

Why and when to detoxify your body?

Spring and Autumn are the ideal seasons to detoxify your body naturally because winter and summer are the seasons for the accumulation of toxins.

In summer, barbecue, aperitifs, alcohol and ice cream are often synonymous with a concentration of saturated fats and fast sugars over a very short period of time, hence the fatigue often felt at the beginning of the school year, with a few pounds taken in the process.

In winter, we sometimes eat fatter (long live the raclette!), More in quantities, and the cold also often greatly reduces our motivation to go to sport. The end-of-year celebrations, which are in fact spread over every month of December and January, are synonymous with an influx of food and alcohol. In addition to saturating our elimination organs, these are the excesses also promote weight gain.

Effects of toxins on the body?

Excess toxins can be felt in different ways. This can be manifested by fatigue, irritability, skin problems such as acne or red dots that are swollen and painful to the touch, ENT congestion (feeling of a stuffy nose, mucus coming from our nose or lungs ), migraines, digestive disorders, joint pain or physical pain.

A good example of the painful manifestation of toxins in the body are Knap Points. Knap points are painful spots located in certain parts of the body, many in the back. These are points of muscular congestion, of tension but also of concentration of toxins and waste.

Where do toxins come from?

The body produces toxins all the time. On a daily basis, the body must therefore eliminate organic and cellular waste that it produces itself.

But also chemical molecules that it ingests through food (pesticides, preservatives, additives, heavy metals), that it inhales (pollution, tobacco, perfume, allergens, volatile organic compounds), or that it absorbs (products of care, hygiene products, cosmetics).

How does the body eliminate toxins?

The body has 5 main organs whose role is to eliminate endogenous toxins and exogenous toxins. These organs are the kidneys, liver, intestines, lungs and skin.

Women additionally count the uterus through menstruation. Each organ takes care of a certain type of toxins and wastes.

How to detoxify your body?

whether in the ambient air or on the plate, no one escapes the substances that poison our body.

You are certainly not fooled, but alcohol , caffeine and nicotine are some of these toxins. On our plate, refined sugar , saturated fats , pesticides and all additives are also part of it. The sometimes polluted air that we breathe also contributes to poisoning our cells.

Although this internal pollution is not necessarily felt, it can nevertheless induce certain signs: persistent fatigue, headaches, insomnia, digestive problems or even dermatological concerns (pimples, irritations, cloudy complexion, allergies, etc.).

Hence the importance of putting your body green and “cleansing” it internally to purify the emunctory organs  (intestines, liver, kidneys, skin, lungs), these “filters” responsible for eliminating accumulated waste and toxins.

Don’t panic, it is not enough to drink juice all day long to restore order in your body! If you really want to consume it, go for homemade juices and smoothies made with protein (like egg white) and coconut water.

Know that you shouldn’t push your body to the extreme either. Listen to yourself above all. The essential lies in the constitution of a plate composed of high quality proteins , good fats  (first cold pressed oil, oleaginous …) and organic fruits and vegetables .

Moreover, these naturally “detoxifying”, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory foods should be consumed every day! Contrary to usual, reduce your consumption of white sugar  ( white flour, bread, pasta, sweets) and prefer  complete sugars  (quinoa, brown rice, amaranth…).
And for how long do we have to do this? Ideally 4-6 weeks for best results.:)

To prepare your detox with confidence, here are some additional tips :

  • Think of raw products : we cook everything “home”, taking unprocessed products  (vegetables and proteins in the raw state). Looking at the list of ingredients in what you are buying is a good sign. The longer it is, the further away we are from the initial product!
  • If some people prefer to get started all at once, you can also take it step by step by aiming for small goals per week.
  • No need to drink liters of water a day as we can read sometimes. 1 L of water is enough, the food already providing us with water. To make this easy, why not drink some green tea during the day?
  • Eat spicy : spices are detoxifying and anti-inflammatory. Turmeric, cayenne pepper, thyme, rosemary, cumin, sage, oregano, coriander, paprika, parsley … We can’t count them anymore!
  • If you want to add some detoxifying foods, turn to black radish or artichoke.

Black radish

For many years, the properties of black radish have been recognized for their beneficial action on the body and more particularly the digestive system. The black radish would have a detoxifying and antiseptic action on the body, and would allow a better elimination of toxins.

This food also promotes detox of the liver in particular thanks to the production of bile which facilitates digestion. The detoxifying action is not the only benefit of black radish, it also helps the blood to purify itself.

It is therefore strongly recommended to consume black radish juice , and more particularly during seasonal changes to help the body adapt to the seasonal transition. Nothing like black radish juice to help the body get rid of all its toxins and invigorate it.

Artichoke

The artichoke is a plant that has many beneficial effects (detox) for health. Choleretic and cholagogue, it stimulates biliary secretion and the elimination of bile, thus helping to treat certain digestive disorders and transit problems.

Its hepatic draining properties help to promote the normal functioning of the liver, the artichoke is thus a food supplement of choice for “detox” and “slimming” cures. It is also an excellent antioxidant, participating in the prevention of premature aging, and a cholesterol-lowering agent. The artichoke would also have hepatoprotective properties but also cardioprotective.
